Community Guidelines

This marketplace only works on trust: landholders opening gates to strangers, and hunters being worth opening the gate for. These guidelines set the standard both sides agree to. They form part of our Terms of Service, and repeated or serious breaches lead to account suspension.

Firearms safety, always

  • Treat every firearm as loaded. Muzzle awareness at all times.
  • Identify your target, and what is beyond it, before you fire. Never shoot at movement, sound or shape.
  • Know your safe directions on the property before the first shot. Walk the ground in daylight before any night shooting the host has approved.
  • Firearms are stored and transported as your licence conditions require, including on the property.
  • Alcohol and hunting do not mix. Celebrate after the firearms are secured.

Hunt legally and ethically

  • Carry every licence, tag and permit your state and quarry require. Hosts may ask to sight them at check-in; show them willingly.
  • Take only the species the listing offers and the host has agreed to, within any limits the host sets.
  • One clean, humane shot is the standard. Make every reasonable effort to recover wounded game promptly.
  • Never take protected native wildlife. If you are not certain what it is, do not shoot it.
  • Field dress and dispose of remains where and how the host directs.

Respect the property

  • Gates as you find them. Every time, no exceptions.
  • Stay inside the boundaries and zones the host has marked. Stock, crops, machinery and infrastructure are someone's livelihood.
  • Follow biosecurity rules exactly: wash-downs, clean boots and declared clean vehicles protect the farm and your future access.
  • Fires only where and when permitted, never on total fire ban days. Pack out what you pack in.
  • Leave the accommodation as you would want to find it.

Deal fairly with each other

  • Hosts: describe your property honestly, disclose hazards, honour confirmed bookings and be contactable around check-in.
  • Guests: arrive when you said you would, bring only the people on the booking, and communicate early if plans change.
  • Reviews reflect genuine stays and honest opinions. No revenge reviews, no fake praise.
  • Keep bookings on the Platform. Off-platform deals remove the protections both sides rely on, and undermine the marketplace that created the connection.

Zero tolerance

The following lead to immediate suspension and, where required, a report to police:

  • unlawful use, storage or supply of firearms;
  • hunting protected species or hunting without required licences;
  • deliberate animal cruelty;
  • trespass beyond the booked property;
  • threats, harassment or discrimination toward any person; and
  • fraud, including fake listings or payment abuse.
