BROADSOUND SAFARIS is a native and exotic wildlife sanctuary based on the Central Queensland Coast of Australia, in close proximity to Hamilton Island, the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef. We hunt numerous properties in the area which range in size from 1,000 to 18,000 acres. Rusa deer are a herd animal, so to see mobs of 200 or more animals on our main deer property is not an uncommon sight. The Red deer herd that we hunt is one of the best in Australia, producing regular classical styled trophies from 12 to 16 points with an average antler length and spread of 40”. Visitors can generally see Rusa, Axis & Banteng all grazing together. We have more than 250 species of waterfowl and other bird life, plus many species of native animals living in all of our areas. Hunters can add days and species to most all of our packages. Food, drinks, accommodation, skinning and transport of trophies to a processor is included in all of our packages. Airport transfers for International hunters are also included. Most bow hunting is usually conducted from ground blinds or tree stands over licks. Red stag and Sambar are strictly spot and stalk and not an easy hunt.
